Ilidiacolina Fátima dos Santos Vera Cruz, defender of the human rights of women, is against violence against women, gender-based violence and multiple discrimination.
She has a Bachelor in Touristic Planning and Development and she is the President of the Mén Non – Association of Women from Sao Tome and Prince in Portugal, and project coordinator in the areas of capacity-building, awareness-raising and women’s empowerment.
She is a board member of the Portuguese Platform for Women’s Rights. She was a representative in the EU Civil Society Platform Against Trafficking in Human Beings in Brussels (2014-2016). She was a bank clerk in the areas of credits and documentary collections. She has worked in the headquarters of the UN in Sao Tome and Prince (1991-1994). She is a collaborator and volunteer of ACOSP (Association of the Community of Sao Tome and Prince) and she was integrated in the working group of community support.
