Member of the National Council and the National Executive Committee of the Ecologist Party The Greens. She is a Member of the Portuguese Parliament representing her party.
She is a member of the 8th Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science, Youth and Sport, and effective member of the 11th Parliamentary Committee on Environment, Energy and Spatial Planning.
She is also a member of the Temporary Commission to monitor the implementation of the COVID-19 pandemic response measures and the process of economic and social recovery.
She was elected to the Municipal Assembly of Guimarães on several terms from 2009 to 2021. She was a Member of the Assembly of the Union of Parishes of Oliveira do Castelo, São Paio and São Sebastião for the terms 2013-2017 and 2017-2021.
