Member of the Portuguese Parliament since October 2019, elected by the Setúbal electoral district. She is a member of the parliamentary committees on Agriculture and Sea and Culture and Communication. She brought to the Parliaments’ agenda, among other topics, women’s and children’s rights, the protection of the environment and animals, and the fight for the recognition and appreciation of the cultural sector.
She is a lawyer – although she has suspended her enrollment in the Bar Association in order to exercise her MP mandate in exclusivity – and has a master’s degree in Legal-Business Sciences and two postgraduate degrees: one in Animal Law and another in Territory Management with a specialization in Environment and Natural Resources.
She was a victim support expert and pro-bono lawyer in a victim support association. She is a long time collaborator of animal protection associations.
