Founding member of the Women’s Front of Norway. Agnete Strøm has served as international co-ordinator since 1985 until 2018 and since then member of the international group in Women’s Front.
The Women’s Front is an independent women’s organization founded in 1972. It is a radical feminist organization working against all forms of oppression experienced by women and girls in a society dominated by men’s economical, social, political, legal and cultural oppression.
The organization has been active in the struggle against prostitution for thirty years and Agnete Strøm has written a paper about this struggle called Glimses into Thirty Years of Struggle by the Women’s Liberation Movement against Prostitution in Norway.
Agnete Strøm has been member of the board of Coalition against Trafficking in Women, 2010 – 2014, and since 2014 she has been treasurer and member of the board in SPACE Intl.
Agnete Strøm has presented papers on prostitution in various feminist events in Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, London, Rome, München, Köln, Ausburg, different CSW- events in New York, Atlanta, New Dehli.
