CONSENT IS NOT FOR SALE, a documentary about the System of Prostitution

CONSENT IS NOT FOR SALE is a documentary that, in an accessible way, brings to the attention of the population a gross violation of Human Rights that disproportionately affects the most vulnerable women and girls and has been ignored or tolerated by Portuguese society: exploitation in the system of prostitution.

With the first-person testimony of a Portuguese survivor of the system of prostitution, who now works to support women trafficked for sexual exploitation, the documentary also includes the testimonies of Portuguese organizations that provide first-line support on the ground to people in situations of prostitution and a group of young people with critical reflection on today’s society.

This documentary was developed under the project EXIT: HUMAN RIGHTS OF WOMEN NOT TO BE PROSTITUTED, promoted by the Portuguese Platform for Women’s Rights.
